Position Overview

Nscale is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead technical infrastructure delivery and readiness across its colocation-based data center facilities. This individual is accountable for ensuring every site is ready to receive, deploy, and operate GPU compute at scale: rack integration, power-up, network and fiber readiness, commissioning, and turnover to operations.

The ideal candidate has lived in hyperscale or high-density data center environments, has led technical teams and vendors across multiple sites, and can translate Nscale's deployment requirements into consistent execution standards across every site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own technical infrastructure readiness across all active CoLo sites on behalf of Nscale, through handoff to the AI Infrastructure team for GPU deployment
  • Participate in design reviews and own communication of design changes to colocation providers, so changes are resolved before they create schedule impact
  • Define and enforce Nscale's GPU deployment readiness standards: rack integration, initial power-up, structured cabling, fiber and network readiness, and data hall cleanliness
  • Own site readiness milestones within the master program schedule so the AI Infrastructure team can deploy GPUs on schedule
  • Review and approve significant change orders, claims, and contract modifications prior to Nscale sign-off, including impacts to deployment scope, power, cooling, or network readiness
  • Lead technical teams and third-party vendors across sites: allocate resources and staffing to program priorities, set daily priorities, track completion, and hold vendors to quality and schedule commitments
  • Oversee IT and operational commissioning, turnover, and closeout so every site transitions into operations with complete documentation and audit readiness
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for schedule, cost, quality, and safety issues that exceed site-level authority
  • Build and maintain program-level reporting on rack completion, readiness, vendor defects, and SLA performance
  • Manage relationships with Nscale leadership, investors, and executive stakeholders; deliver periodic program-level updates and briefings on deployment readiness
  • Identify and mitigate program-level risks, including schedule slippage, cost overruns, supply chain disruptions, and resource conflicts
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, safety standards, and quality requirements across all deployment scopes and vendors
  • Mentor and develop direct reports; establish consistent reporting, documentation, and quality standards across sites

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years in technical infrastructure, including 5+ years in data center or mission-critical environments covering readiness, deployment, commissioning, or operations
  • 3+ years leading technical teams and third-party vendors, including multi-project environments
  • Hands-on experience delivering high-density compute deployments: rack integration, initial power-up, structured cabling, and network and fiber readiness
  • Proven experience with commissioning, turnover, and operational handoff of data center infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of schedule, cost, and scope tracking on infrastructure projects, including procurement and supplier commitments
  • Ability to read infrastructure design documents, including rack elevations, power and cooling distribution, and network topology drawings
  • Valid driver's license; ability to travel between multiple project sites as required

Preferred

  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Procore and Bluebeam Revu proficiency
  • Experience in hyperscale, colocation, or Tier III/IV data center environments
  • Experience with liquid-cooled or high-density GPU environments
  • Ability to read full MEP construction drawing sets
  • Familiarity with DCIM systems and critical power and cooling infrastructure at a portfolio level
  • Experience with program-level reporting and analytics tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field

Character & Conduct

What We Value Most: Character & Conduct

Technical skills can be taught. Character cannot. At Nscale, we're looking for people who show up with integrity, treat others with respect, and take genuine ownership of their work. As a senior leader on the program, this individual also sets the tone for every direct report and site team they oversee. The following traits matter as much to us as any credential or years of experience:

●       Integrity — does the right thing even when no one is watching; never misrepresents status, costs, or progress to protect themselves or their team

●       Ownership mentality — treats the program as their own and holds themselves and their direct reports accountable without being told

●       Respectful under pressure — stays composed and professional with contractors, trades, direct reports, and internal Nscale teams regardless of the circumstances

●       Transparent communicator — surfaces problems early and honestly, never buries bad news, and expects the same from the teams they lead

●       Team-first attitude — ego stays at the gate; the program and the people on it come first

●       Reliable and consistent — shows up prepared, follows through on commitments, and does what they say they will do

We actively seek references that speak to a candidate's character, not just their technical output.

Tools & Software

  • Procore — program-wide project management, RFIs, submittals, daily reporting, and document control
  • Bluebeam Revu — drawing markup, QA/QC overlays
  • Microsoft Suite — Word, Excel, Outlook (required); MS Project or Primavera P6 (preferred)
  • Power BI or equivalent — program-level reporting and dashboarding (preferred)

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Full-time role with regular travel across multiple project sites; on-site presence required as needed, particularly during critical milestones
  • Schedule flexibility required to support program needs across sites, teams, and time zones
  • Active construction environment when on-site — PPE required at all times
  • This is a full-time Nscale position. As Nscale's data center program pipeline grows, there will be opportunities to take on additional sites or programs.

The range below reflects the base salary for the position. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as skill set, experience, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and/or commission programs.
