About Pocket
At Pocket, we’re building the future of human memory.
Some of the most valuable information in our lives disappears when a conversation ends: an idea, a decision, a detail we wish we could remember. Pocket helps us hold onto it.
We’ve built an AI-powered device that captures real-world conversations and turns them into searchable transcripts, summaries and next steps. Backed by Accel and Y Combinator (W26), we’ve already sold 500,000 devices.
Our ambition goes beyond recording. We believe the things you learn, discuss and experience can become useful context for the AI tools you already use, and for products that don’t exist yet.
About the Role
There are good stories inside a company building a physical AI product: the prototype that fails, the customer insight that changes a decision, the launch that finally comes together. We need someone who can spot them and make people care.
As our first dedicated content creator, you’ll work alongside the team and founders, filming, interviewing, writing, editing and publishing. You’ll shape Pocket’s company channels and support the founders’ personal accounts. This is a making role, not a job coordinating other people’s content.
What You’ll Own
Short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other relevant channels.
Behind-the-scenes stories about product development, launches, team life, milestones and difficult moments.
Interviews with founders, engineers, designers and operators, handled from filming through edit and publication.
Written stories for LinkedIn and X, with a voice that sounds like the people building Pocket.
A practical publishing calendar, reusable formats and thoughtful repurposing across platforms.
Experiments with hooks and formats, measurement of what resonates, and an audience that comes back for more than a product announcement.
What We’re Looking For
Evidence of creating organic content people want to watch, read or share, especially short-form video.
The ability to film, edit, write and publish independently.
Strong storytelling and writing, with an instinct for what makes an everyday moment interesting.
Comfort talking to people, asking good questions and capturing unplanned moments.
Curiosity about technology and startups, initiative without constant direction, and fluency in social platforms and internet culture.
You are based in San Francisco or willing to relocate.
Bonus Points
You have built an audience, made videos with hundreds of thousands or millions of organic views, worked with startups or creators, have documentary/journalism experience, or enjoy being on camera when the story calls for it.
What Success Looks Like
In the first 90 days, you’ve built relationships across the team, established a steady publishing rhythm, tested several formats and found a recognizable voice. Over time, your work helps people follow and understand Pocket’s journey, not just see our announcements.
Why Join Pocket?
You’ll have access to the people and decisions behind the product, plus room to develop your own ideas. As the first dedicated creator, you can establish how we tell our story rather than inherit a fixed playbook.
