Company OverviewRex is a privately held ecosystem of entrepreneurial ventures led by Peter Rex, spanning real estate private equity, technology, insurance, and AI. We build businesses and investment platforms that generate both exceptional financial returns and meaningful societal impact. At the core of our strategy is investor engagement: attracting aligned capital partners who share our long-term vision. We are building the most compelling investor-facing ecosystem in the private markets. The role offers exposure to a uniquely diverse platform, combining institutional-quality real estate and high-growth tech ventures, all aligned under a singular mission-driven vision.
About UsOur mission is to catalyze human flourishing through stewardship, serving people in all nations. We seek a transcendent impact, second to none, crossing geographies and making a permanent mark on history.
We aim to uplift investors, foster flourishing families, create enduring trust, and contribute to a more beautiful world through our investments, products and services, and new ventures.
Our investments are primarily in real estate, with additional allocations to tech, energy, and alternatives, employing a downside-protected, long-term approach to investing. We are grounded in timeless morals and seek to preserve and grow both investor capital and our own.
We serve a diverse ecosystem that includes:
Our businesses, with over 500 employees, are primarily throughout Texas and Florida, but we aim to expand globally with our products and services, impacting people in all countries.
Mindset
The OpportunityRex is hiring a Director, Transactions & Portfolio Execution to serve as the central node of Rex Private Equity. We are at the start of a new real estate cycle, we own more than $500M in real estate, and we are buying heavily again. Every asset carries a loan, and every deal brings lawyers, lenders, debt brokers, equity partners, contractors, and property and asset managers to the table. This leader keeps them all moving together, owning the outcome from the first broker call through closing, ownership, refinance, and sale. Four mandates anchor the role. First, run every deal from start to finish: broker relationships, LOIs, purchase contracts, due diligence, and closing. Second, line up the money early with our debt and equity leaders, and control the timeline so deadlines can be pushed, pulled, or extended without blowing up the deal or risking the deposit. Third, own transactions across the existing $500M+ portfolio, including refinances, dispositions, and lender workouts, along with one master critical dates calendar for the whole platform. Fourth, build the Rex deal playbook and raise the team into operators who can run full transactions themselves. The ideal candidate has 12 to 20+ years in multifamily private equity real estate and has personally quarterbacked 20+ closings, including some that went sideways. They have run refinances, loan modifications or workouts, and dispositions across an existing portfolio, and they bring strong underwriting, debt market fluency, and existing relationships with debt and investment sales brokers. They pair IQ with EQ: detail-obsessed on contracts and numbers, yet street smart, likable, and shrewd with counterparties whose interests rarely align with Rex’s. A law degree or real estate paralegal background is a plus. Must be unquestionably loyal and trustworthy, protecting investor capital first and caring more about impact than money. Not for mercenaries. Only for missionaries. Fully remote.
On new deals, you will run the full lifecycle, from screening opportunities and negotiating LOIs and contracts to directing due diligence and closing cleanly. You will coordinate with the Director of Capital Markets and Director of Capital Formation so debt and equity are in place before an LOI is signed. After closing, you will hand each asset off to asset and property management and keep tracking execution of the business plan.
For assets we already own, you are the hub: refinances start 12 to 24 months before maturity, and lender reporting, covenant tests, and rate cap renewals never slip. You will also build the machine, including standard diligence checklists, closing checklists, structured handoffs, and a post-mortem after every deal, and develop the deal team through strong example.
You orchestrate rather than replace. Investment directors own investment decisions, debt owns loans, capital formation owns equity, and asset management owns property performance. Your job is to make them move together and to escalate early when they do not. This is a hands-on seat for a driver, not a process manager. Must be missionary to the bone.
