Director, Order-to-Cash Operations

Every deal we sign has to become an accurate order, an accurate invoice and accurate revenue, and this role makes that happen. As Director, Order-to-Cash Operations, you will lead Order Management, Billing and Revenue Operations at a growing, publicly traded SaaS company, reporting to the VP, Revenue Accounting. You will manage a Senior Manager, Billing and an Order Management Manager, hire and build a Revenue Operations Manager, and work closely with Deal Strategy, Finance and Sales Operations. You will also represent Order-to-Cash in Fastly’s company-wide Lead-to-Cash transformation and support Revenue Accounting on ASC 606 matters. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will see the impact of your work on every deal we close.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Order Management, Billing and Revenue Operations teams, including hiring and developing a new Revenue Operations Manager
  • Own the order-to-invoice process, from Deal Desk approval and Closed-Won through accurate, timely invoicing, with clear service levels for order and invoice accuracy, turnaround time and backlog
  • Define and own the source of truth for revenue data and metrics, and drive data governance for audit-ready compliance
  • Partner with Business Systems and IT to keep Salesforce, CPQ, billing and ERP processes scalable and less manual
  • Represent Order-to-Cash in Fastly’s company-wide Lead-to-Cash transformation, including process design and adoption
  • Support Revenue Accounting on ASC 606 matters and deliver reporting and variance analysis to Finance and executive leadership

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in Order Management, Billing, Revenue Operations or Order-to-Cash at a B2B SaaS company
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams, including managing managers or senior individual contributors, and building diverse and inclusive teams
  • Hands-on understanding of Salesforce, CPQ, billing and ERP platforms, and how contract and order data moves between them
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and how contract terms affect billing and revenue recognition
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to partner across Finance, Accounting, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Legal and IT and explain complex process and data issues to executive leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

  • CPA designation
  • Experience leading a Lead-to-Cash, order-to-cash or similar process and systems transformation
  • Experience with SOX controls and supporting external audits in a public company or late-stage environment
  • Experience reviewing complex, non-standard contracts and identifying the terms that affect revenue recognition, billing and order setup
  • Regular, hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini to improve operational workflows, with sound judgment on when AI output needs review
